The number of women and girls in need of support after experiencing gender-based violence has nearly doubled in two years and quadrupled since the start of the war three years ago.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=\u00bbtransparent\u00bb up=\u00bb7&#8243; down=\u00bb5&#8243;][vc_column_text css=\u00bb\u00bb]<\/p>\n<h5><b>How do we respond?<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>We support displaced populations both within Sudan and in neighboring countries:<\/b><\/h5>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=\u00bbtransparent\u00bb up=\u00bb17&#8243; down=\u00bb5&#8243;][vc_column_text css=\u00bb\u00bb]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>In Chad:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> We focus on <\/span><b>child protection<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and ensuring that refugee children can continue attending school in safe environments.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>In South Sudan:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> We prioritize <\/span><b>mental health and psychosocial support<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in transit centers such as Renk, helping people heal the emotional wounds of war and rebuild their lives. Renk, a border town between Sudan and South Sudan, has become a key entry point for refugees and returnees displaced by the Sudan crisis since April 2023. Together with JRS Europe, through the<\/span> <b><i>\u201cOne Proposal\u201d<\/i><\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">programme, we have supported more than <\/span><b>150,000 people<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Ukraine, Romania, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=\u00bbtransparent\u00bb][vc_column_text css=\u00bb\u00bb]<span style=\"color: #f7443e;\">We not only provide essential aid, but also promote access to <strong>education, legal assistance, and community integration<\/strong>.
